Educational Qualification & Experience:
Editor-In-Chief cum Chief Executive (LSTV) – A. Deputation: By selection from serving officers of Central/State Governments or Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies: (i) holding analogous posts or having 03 years regular service in the Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (PBA) + Grade Pay: Rs. 10000 or equivalent (pre-revised) [Level 14 in the Pay Matrix (revised) (provisional)], and (ii) having 10 years experience in television or electronic media management. No age limit has been prescribed for appointment by deputation. The period of deputation shall be initially for 2 years or up to the date of superannuation of applicant, whichever is earlier. The other terms and conditions of deputation will be in accordance with the instructions consolidated by DOPT vide their a.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17 June 2010 adopted by Lok Sabha Secretariat vide R&CS Order No. Misc. 87/2011 dated 04.02.2011. OR
B. Contract: By selection from amongst candidates: (i) having at least 15 years of experience in the field of media including 5 years in top managerial/editorial position; and (ii) having high professional standing and recognised expertise and experience in media related fields viz. management of a news channel, production of public-affairs/news-based programmes, coverage and live telecast of special events, marketing and revenue generation etc. The terms and conditions for contractual appointment shall be as under: (i) The period of Contract shall be initially for two years which may be extended, subject to satisfactory performance. (ii) The maximum age limit for contractual appointment shall be 65 years as on closing date of the receipt of applications.
