Automobile or Automotive Engineering is for the students who are passionate about the cars, bikes & other motor vehicles. In this branch of engineering various elements of engineering such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety are incorporated together for the study of the operating principles of automobiles. This branch of engineering is for the designing, developing and testing of automobiles or the parts of automobiles from the concept stage to production stage. Automobile engineering can be divided into following streams:
Designing: Focuses on designing of components and coordination of a component with other components and the system of the car. It is done in the form of drawings and blueprints.
Developing: In this phase, automobile engineers transform their designs into a viable end product.
Manufacturing: It deals with the creation and assembling the whole parts of automobiles.
Testing: It is the most rigorous process which ensures that each and every component of the automobile is able to function properly and safely in every possible condition.
Repairing and Servicing: It is the after sales process which ensures the long time sustainability of the vehicle and its components.
