President Pratibha Patil inaugurated the newly constructed Chaudhary Bramprakash Ayurvedic Sansthan at Khera Dabar near Najafgarh on 5 July 2012. Whilst inaugurating, she expressed herself, saying that the institute which is aimed at providing relief to patients the ayurvedic way, will soon pave its way to success and become one of the leading centre’s of health care.
Since times immemorial, it is known that ayurveda is a the perfect answer to a beings welfare and health the natural way, Patel congratulated the institute for having developed a well spread herbal garden to grow and protect medicinal plants. The President urged the Government agencies and other stake holders to concentrate on research and development in this field. The Department of Ayush under the Union Government has determined 818 such standards in this regard.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, mentioned that the objective of setting up the Ayurveda institute in the rural belt was to primarily provide treatment to the residents of around 60 villages in and around. She added that the herbal garden was spread over an area of 70 acre and has around 13,500 medicinal saplings.
Lastly, Delhi Health Minister A. K. Walia added that the Institute was completed in 2009 and has been providing OPD services from 2009 and IPD services with 210 beds since January 2010.
