PUBDET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts PUBDET-2025 exam for admission to B.A. and B.Sc. courses (Major/Honours) in the Presidency University. This entrance exam will be conducted on June 21 and 22, 2025. Applicants are required to confirm that they fulfil all PUBDET 2025 eligibility criteria. Those who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) can apply. Furthermore, they must have obtained the minimum required aggregate scores in the subjects of the qualifying exam to be eligible. The admission is subject to document verification. The verification will be done during counselling and also during the admission and registration with the university. If candidates are found ineligible at any stage, their candidature shall stand cancelled.

PUBDET Educational Qualification

  • Passed not before 2024 or appeared in 2025 in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) held by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any equivalent exam.
  • Passed the above exam with a minimum of five recognised subjects (full marks not less than 100) of which English will be one subject, and excluding Compulsory Environmental Science. The aggregate will be computed based on the score in the best four recognised subjects, excluding Compulsory Environmental Science.
  • Students with International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualifications must possess a minimum of three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level, with English in either of the two levels. The aggregate will be computed based on the best four subjects, considering both levels.

Candidates must fulfil the minimum PUBDET eligibility criteria in the qualifying exam in the 12th standard.
