  • Sub Divisional Soil Conservation Officer – 12 Posts
  • Soil Conservation Officer – 110 Posts
  • District Programme Officer – 02 Posts

  • Information and Public Relation Officer – 05 Posts

Eligibility Criteria for Punjab PSC Posts

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

Sub Divisional Soil Conservation Officer: candidate should have M.Sc. (Agriculture) with Soil Science or Conservation Agriculture as a major subject or degree in B. Tech. Agricultural Engineering, in First division with an experience of five years in an organization (Public or Private) directly dealing in Soil Conservation or Water Management or Natural Resource Management. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Soil Conservation Officer : candidate should have M.Sc. (Agriculture) with Soil Science or Conservation Agriculture as a major subject or Second Class degree in B. Tech Agricultural engineering, in Second division. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

District Programme Officer: Candidate should have Master's Degree in any of the Social Science subject’s viz. Sociology, Social Work, Economics, Anthropology, Home Science, or Nutrition from a recognized university or institution. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Ayurvedic Medical Officer: Candidate should possess a degree of BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) or its equivalent degree from a recognized University or other teaching institution recognized by CCIM. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Joint Director : candidate should have Post Graduate from a recognised university or Degree with PG diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication or in Public relations and Advertising from a recognised university and should have 10 years post qualification experience. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Deputy Director : candidate should have Post Graduate from a recognised university or Degree with PG diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication or in Public relations and Advertising from a recognised university and should have 07 years post qualification experience. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Information and Public Relation Officer : candidate should have Post Graduate from a recognised university or Degree with PG diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication or in Public relations and Advertising from a recognised university and should have 02 years post qualification experience. Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Assistant Public Relation Officers : candidate should have Post Graduate from a recognised university or Degree with PG diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication or in Public relations and Advertising from a recognised university and should have 02 years post qualification experience with Newspaper having minimum Circulation on 25000 Copies). Candidate should have studied Punjabi till Matric or its equivalent standard.

Selection Process for Punjab PSC Posts

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Competitive Examination and Interview.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website (ppsc.gov.in) in the prescribed format, On or before 28 October 2016 and send the hard copy of application to ‘OFFICE OF SECRETARY, PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, BARADARI GARDENS, PATIALA’, by 11 November 2016.
