RBI Grade B Recruitment 2024: Check Notification Date, Exam Details, Selection Process and Other Information

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2024: The Reserve Bank of India is expected to release the notification for recruitment to the post of Officer Grade B (DR) under the General, Department of Economic and Policy Research and Department of Statistics and Information Management on 25 July. The candidates can submit their applications from 25 July to 16 August 2024.

A total of 94 vacancies are notified out of which 66 vacancies were for Officer Grade B General posts, 12 for DEPR and 7 for DSIM.

The selection will be done on the basis of online examination which will be conducted in two phases: RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam and RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam. Successful candidates will be interviewed from this written examination.

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - (General): Candidate should have a graduation degree in any subject/discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in the sum of all semesters/years. Graduate in equivalent technical or professional qualification (SC/ST/OBC) ST / ST 50% for PwBD applicants or Post Graduate/Post Graduate with minimum 55% marks. Equivalent Technical Qualification (SC/ST) ST / ST Passing marks for PwBD applicants).
• Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR:  Candidate should have a degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute. Institute or PGDM/PGDM MBA in Economics/Economics Econometrics Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course All semesters/semesters with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in Finance. Master's Degree in years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute. Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute, with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University/Institute. All semesters/semesters from the Institute. Degree in Finance or Agriculture/Electronics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in years. Profession/ Developmental/ Master's Degree in Economics in any sub-category of Applied Economics.
• Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM - Master's Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics and Informatics from IIT Kharagpur/Master's Degree in Applied Statistics and Informatics from IIT Bombay with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in sum of all semesters/years or Master's Degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from IIT Bombay. M.Statistics Degree from a reputed institution or Indian Statistical Institute with minimum 55% marks in all semesters/semesters offered jointly by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. All semesters/semesters in aggregate of years or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of years.

How to Apply for RBI Grade B Exam 2024 ?

After the start of the application process for RBI Grade-B posts, candidates can apply through the steps given below -

Step-1: Visit the official website of RBI https://opportunities.rbi.org.in/Scripts/Vacancies and click on "Recruitment for the post of "Officers in Gr.'B' (DR) General/DEPR/DSIM" given under 'Opportunities@RBI' >Current Vacancies > Vacancies.

Step 2: To register for the Step-2 application, select the "Click here for new registration" tab and enter your name, contact details and email-id. A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the Reserve Bank of India Services Board, Mumbai

Step 3: Click on the hyperlink "Online Application Form" on the advertisement page to fill the 'Online Application'.

Step 4: Enter the basic details and upload a photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the online application form as per the given specifications.

Step-5: Save your application by clicking on 'Validate your details' and 'Save & Next' button.

Step-6: Proceed to upload a photo, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications given in the guidelines for scanning and uploading the documents.

Step 7: Fill in the other details of the application form.

Step 8: Click on the preview tab to preview and verify the entire application form before the final submission.

Step-9: Modify the details if required, and after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature and other details filled by you are correct, just click on 'Final Submit'.

Step 10: Click on the 'Payment' tab and proceed for payment.
