The Centre is going to make a first-of-its-kind-move by engaging retired central government employees and pensioners as supervisors for different recruitment examinations.
Retired government servants will now be appointed as Inspecting Officers and members of the Flying Squad for supervising various competitive examinations conducted by SSC.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is one of the largest government functioning bodies in the country. The Commission organizes highest number of examinations every year to select eligible candidates at junior level and mid level posts.
A total of 1815 government pensioners are listed at Sankalp, an online repository of pensioners maintained by the Personnel Ministry. Near about 58 lakh pensioners are there in the country. The Ministry urges pensioners to register themselves at Sankalp.
