RITES limited is an engineering consultancy company, specializing in the field of transport infrastructure. Established in 1974 by the Government of India, the company's initial charter was to provide consultancy services in rail transport management to operators in India and abroad. RITES has since diversified into planning and consulting services for other infrastructure, including airports, ports, highways and urban planning. Recently on-shore WDS6 Diesel Loco Leasing service has been introduced. It has been awarded the status of MINIRATNA in 2002.

Age limit can be relaxed by a maximum of 3 years in deserving cases and having sound health.
Selection Procedure for Posts under RITES 2017
The company reserves the right to shortlist suitable number of eligible candidates for selection, based upon scrutiny of documents; their eligibility and other short-listing criteria. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the Medical Examination to be conducted as per RITES Rules and Standards of Medical Fitness for the relevant post. Candidates have the option to appear for interview either in Hindi or English.
