In a major move in the history of RRB ALP, Technician exam of Railway, a record 76.76 per cent candidates appeared in the first stage of the computer based examination held earlier. According to the ministry tweet, about 47 lakh candidates appeared in the CBT exam which is 76.76 percent in the history of RRBs exam so far.
According to the ministry tweet from its official handle, "We have successfully completed 1st stage CBT for more than 47 lakh candidates, competing for 64037 ALP and Technician posts, with record attendance of 76.76 per cent in the history of RRBs. Applicants in previous ALP/Technician exam was about 32 lakhs and attendance was 47.47 per cent."
It is noted that the first phase of the exam was held on August 9. Rest of the exam were held on August 10, 13,14,17,20,21,29,30 and 31.
Due to the flood situation in the Kerala, the exam was postponed and it was scheduled on September 4, 2018.

RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018, Exam Pattern & Mark Scheme Released
RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018 Update: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the marks scheme or marks distribution and exam pattern on the official site of RRB. Candidates who will be appearing in the written examination of RRB ALP & Technician 2018 can check it by visiting the official site of RRB at indianrailways.gov.in.
As per the notice, RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018 will be conducted on 09 August 2018 across all the zones. The exam pattern consists of 4 sections- Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science. The examination will comprise of 75 questions and the time duration will be one hour. The mark scheme will be 20 questions in Maths section, 25 in General Intelligence and Reasoning, 20 in General Science, and 10 questions in the General Awareness and Current Affairs section.
The mock test link for RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018 will also be made available to the candidates today onwards on the official site of Railways. The intimation of the exam city, date and session of the candidate along with downloading of Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates will be available.
The admit card of the RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018 will be available on the official site 4 days prior to the date of CBT of the candidate. The examination will be conducted to fill 26.502 vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot/Technicians posts. A total of around 47.56 lakh candidates have applied for the exam.
