In this article, we have listed down step by step process and some relevant information needed while filling the application form for RRB JE 2019 Exam. As per the latest notification, RRB JE has come up with total 13487 vacancies for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendant (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) this year. Aspirants can start filling the Application Form from 2nd January, 2019 till 31st January, 2019.

Step-2: Select your RRB then (For example, we have selected Ahmedabad):

Note: Please be aware that, RRB once selected cannot be changed after the preliminary registration is completed and Registration number is allotted.

Step-3: Candidates are advised to refer Vacancy Table to view RRB-wise, Railway-wise and Post-wise vacancies. This is provided on the upper right side of the website to facilitate candidates to select the RRB as per their choice.

Step-5: Click on the “New Registration” Button below if you are registering for the first time:

Step-6: Fill up the basic details viz. Name, Father name, Mother Name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, E-mail Id, Aadhar number etc.

  • Scribe for PwBD Candidates: Indicate option for Scribe if you are a PwBD candidate eligible for Scribe. Only the candidates suffering from Visually Impaired (VI)/candidates whose writing speed is affected by loco motor disability (one arm) are eligible for  availing Scribe against this CEN.
  • Detailed Educational Qualification: Furnish all the relevant information on the qualification as required in the application.

  • Choice of Exam Language: English is the default language. In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected from the drop down list of languages. The languages listed are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. In case of any difference/discrepancy/dispute in the Questions between English and the opted language, the content of English version shall prevail.
  • Complete the balance fields e.g. Mother Tongue, Moles/Identification Marks, Address etc.

Step-7: Complete the Registration process by filling all the details for generating a Registration Id & Password for login and OTPs (One Time Password) for validation. The Registration Id and password will be displayed on the screen. OTPs will be sent to your registered mobile number and E-mail id.

Step-8: Retrieve OTPs from mobile number and E-mail and enter the same in respective text box and click on ‘Validate’ Button.

Step-9: Click On ‘Apply/Edit’ option on the screen. Complete the Eligibility Criteria Form and Submit. Before submitting the Eligibility Criteria Form, be sure that all the information is filled correctly. After submission, you can modify only by Paying the modification fee of Rs 100/-.

Step-10: After submission of Eligibility criteria form, the list of posts for which the candidate is eligible, will be displayed to enable the candidates to enter the priority number in the order of their preference. Candidates will be considered only for the posts for which post preference has been entered. Hence candidates should select as many posts as they would like to be considered from the list. Once sure of the selection, Click on confirm button or edit if wish to change the priority numbers.

Step-11: After submitting the options, you will be taken to exam group selection page. As per the “disciplines/educational qualifications mapping tables” given in Centralized Employment Notice (CEN), the exam group(s) matching with educational qualifications will be displayed. Candidates eligible for more than one exam group, has to choose one exam group provided he/she opts for the posts whose educational qualifications is mapped to the chosen exam group.

Step-12: After submission of exam group preference form, make the Payment by clicking on the Payment tab. Only after payment you will be able to fill the additional details and upload Photos and signature etc.

Mode of Payment:

1) Bank

a. Net Banking /Credit card/Debit card etc: Select the mode of payment of fees from the options available such as Net Banking, Credit Card/Debit Card etc., Enter the details required on the relevant option screen and submit the payment. After a while you will get the payment response as "Success" once bank has received your fees, or else a "Failure" response will be displayed on the screen along with the reason for failure.

b. For Payment through SBI Challan and NEFT, Click on "SBI Branch" from the options. Fill the mobile number & date of birth and click "Confirm" button. Then click on the “Click here to Download” the form in PDF, take the print of the form, fill relevant details and pay the fees at your nearest SBI branch. Payment confirmation may take 2 hours and hence login after 2 hours and look for confirmation of payment status.

2) Post Office

For Payment through Post Office, Select Post Office from the drop down and Click the button to proceed for generating a Challan. Take print of the Challan and pay the fees in the nearest computerized post office. Payment confirmation may take 48 hours and hence login after 48 hours and look for confirmation of payment status.

Application Fee:

The candidates have to pay examination fee online through the prescribed link at online application, the category wise examination fee payable is as under:

Step-13: After successful payment, Click on the “Fill additional details” and complete the remaining application form by filling up additional details and Photo(s)/Document(s) Upload. Before uploading photo and signature, be sure that the scanned photo is as per the specification mentioned in CEN.

Photograph of the Candidate:

a) It should be a Colour Passport Photograph with white/light color back ground.

b) It should be of size 35mmX45mm or 320 x 240 pixels.

c) It should be in JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI resolution.

d) The size of the photograph should be between 20-50KB.

e) The color photograph must have been taken on or after 01-10-2018 in a professional studio. Photographs taken using mobile and self-composed portraits may result in rejection of application.

f) The photo should have clear front view of the candidate without cap and sunglasses.

g) The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph with a full face view looking at the camera directly.

h) The main features of the face must not be covered by hair of the head any cloth or any shadow.

i) Fore head, eyes, nose and chin should be clearly visible.

j) In case the candidate wears glasses, then the photograph should not have any glare/reflections on glasses and eyes should be clearly visible.

k) The Photograph must match with the candidate appearance on the days of CBT and DV.

l) PwBD candidates should also upload passport photograph as per above specifications only and not the full body photograph used in the disability certificate.

m) Candidates are advised to keep at least 12 (Twelve) copies of the same photograph for further use as and when required during the recruitment process.

Signature of the Candidate:

a) The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen with in a box of size 50mm x 20mm.

b) Signature must be in running letters and NOT IN BLOCK LETTERS.

c) The image should be in JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI resolution.

d) Dimensions of 50mm x 20mm or 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).

e) Size of file should be between 10KB —40KB.

Notes:

1. The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.

2. The applicants signature obtained during registration and at the time of CBTs/DV/Medical should match the uploaded signature.

3. In case it is found that there is a mismatch of signature, the candidate may be disqualified, legal prosecution will be initiated and the candidate will be debarred for life from appearing in railway recruitments (RRBs/RRCs).

SC/ST Certificate Upload:

Candidates belonging to SC/ST Community who have opted to avail Free Rail Travel, have to upload scanned copy of their SC/ST Certificates (JPG/JPEG format, 50KB – 100KB) also for availing the facility of Free Travel Authority (Second Class Railway Pass).

Step-14: Final Submission of Application

Before clicking on “Final submit”, make sure the photograph and signatures are uploaded properly by checking previews of photograph and signature. After submission, it can be edited only by paying the modification fee of Rs 100/- . Modification can be done only twice. In the case of a candidate modifying his community from SC/ST to UR or OBC, he/she will have to pay the difference in examination fee, i.e., Rs.250/- in addition to the modification fee. Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to UR/OBC Non.Ex.SM/Non PwBD/ Male etc., he/she will have to pay the difference in examination fee i.e., Rs.250/- in addition to the modification fee.

Mode of Communication:

Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active E-mail Addresses and Mobile Number in the online application form. All the eligible candidates are informed by e-mail or through SMS regarding downloading of Admit Card from designated web portal.
