    This year RRB has invited applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Paramedical Categories (Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, Lab Superintendent, etc.) in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways for total 1937 vacancies. RRB Paramedical CBT 2019 Exam will be held tentatively during 1st week of June, 2019.

    Let’s look at the Exam Pattern and Syllabus of the RRB Paramedical Categories 2019 Exam:

    RRB Paramedical 2019 Exam Pattern - Single CBT

    There shall be a CBT (computer based test) for all the notified categories followed by document verification. The Question paper for Single Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions and 120 minutes for PwBD candidates who are availing the Scribe facility. The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to Professional ability, General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Science.

    • The question papers shall be of objective multiple choice type with four options. Only one of these four options will be the correct answer.

    • The standard of questions for the Single Stage CBT(Computer Based Test) will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or minimum professional/technical qualifications prescribed for the posts.

    • There shall be negative marking in CBT (Computer Based Test/Examination) and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @ 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.

    • Minimum qualifying mark prescribed for UR/EWS is 40%, OBC & SC is 30% and ST is 25%. If sufficient candidates for PwBD are not available 2 marks relaxation in minimum qualifying marks will be given. Shortlisting of candidates for Document Verification and empanelment will be made strictly on merit based on the performance of the candidate in the CBT subject to securing minimum qualifying marks prescribed for their communities.

    • The section wise distribution given in the above table is only indicative and there may be some variations in the actual question papers.

    RRB Paramedical 2019 Last Phase: Document Verification/ Medical Examination

    Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT Examination candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for document verification in the main list. In addition, 50% extra candidates will also be called as standby, unless otherwise specified. However, standby candidates will be considered for empanelment only if there is a shortfall in empanelment from the main list.

    Original Documents: During document verification, candidates will have to produce their original certificates. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidates not producing their original certificates on the date of verification is liable to be forfeited. Documents to be brought by candidates in original (as applicable) for verification are as indicated below:

    1. Matriculation/X Class/High School Examination Certificate or Equivalent certificate as Proof for Date of Birth. (The candidates’ name and the father/ mothers’ name mentioned in the application will be verified with reference to the names mentioned in this certificate.)

    2. 10 +2 / Inter / Higher Secondary/PUC (As applicable)

    3. Diploma / Degree / Experience Certificate with Semester wise Mark Sheets (As applicable).

    4. SC/ST certificate

    5. OBC-NCL certificate (not older than one year from the date of DV) + Non creamy layer declaration by OBC candidates.

    6. Income & Asset certificate for Economically Weaker Section + Income Certificate for Waiving Examination Fee for Economically Backward Classes

    7. Minority Community declaration on Non - judicial Stamp Paper

    8. Original discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen + Self declaration for Ex-servicemen

    9. Medical Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

    10. No Objection Certificate from serving employees with date of appointment

    11. No Objection Certificate from Serving Defence Personnel with probable date of discharge.

    12. Gazette notification and/or any Legal document in case of formal change of name

    13. Receipt of payment if made through a Challan at SBI branch or Pay-in-slip at computerized Post Office.

    14. Self Certification by the Transgender candidates

    15. J & K domicile certificate (if applicable).

    16. Certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

    17. Decree of divorce/judicial separation from the competent Court of Law as applicable and Affidavit stating that the candidate has not remarried.

    18. Death Certificate of the husband in case of widow and Affidavit stating that the candidate has not remarried.

    Medical Examination: Empanelment of candidates will be based on merit i.e., marks obtained in the CBT and subject to successful completion of document verification and passing prescribed medical examination. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration/RRB, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. Railway Recruitment Board only recommends the names of successful and empanelled candidates to Zonal Railways/Production Units. The process of appointment thereof will be done by the Principal Chief Personnel Officer of the Railway/Production Unit concerned.
