The South Asian University (SAU) which is a also a SAARC establishment is all set to start a Ph.D. courses from the next academic session (2013-14).
The announcement came after an approval from the governing board, the University stated that the research scholars would be inducted into the Ph.D. programmes via an entrance test which will be followed by a personal interview.
The eligibility to apply for the on-going South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Silver Jubilee Scholarship is open for all the candidates of the research programmes.
The highest scholarship for research scholars carries full fee waiver, free stay in the hostel, a monthly allowance of Rs. Twelve thousand and a fixed start-up amount. There are twenty five scholarships earmarked for Ph.D. students.
South Asian University was established by the governments of the eight SAARC nations in the year 2010.
