SRM University Announce Admission 2016

SRM University has announced Admission 2016 for undergraduate and postgraduate programs for Domestic and International students in faculties of Engineering, Medicine & Health Sciences, Management, and Science & Humanities. This admission process is for all campuses of SRM University-- three in Chennai and one in NCR Delhi and also of its Group universities of SRM University, Haryana at Sonepat and SRM University Sikkim.

Every year SRM gets an overwhelming response. Last year, B.Tech witnessed over 1,50,000 students applying with complete geographic, cultural, and socio-economic representation from all  parts of India and from 52 countries the world over.

This year, SRM has introduced two schemes to recognize and reward high calibre students. First, application fee waiver for thosewho score 95% and above or equivalent in 10^th Standard. Second, an Essay Contest to win a fully paid tuition – fee scholarship to an undergraduate engineering degree in any institution in India. The contest is designed to trigger and encourage thinking in young minds.

Several scholarships are provided to recognize and reward highly talented students, including Founders’ Scholarship – 100% waiver of tuition and hostel fees and a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 for toppers in SRMJEEE, JEE, CBSE / State Board final and for outstanding sports performance; tuition fee waiver of 50% for 200 scholarships to applicants with 10000SRMJEEE rank, and with 95% aggregate score in PCM / PCB in school final as per the eligibility.

For admission to B.Tech, it is through  SRMJEEE – Joint Engineering Entrance Examination; to M.Tech, SRMGEET – Graduate Engineering Entrance Test,; and for MBA, SRMCAT – Common Admission Test. SRMJEEE would be online and conducted across India in 200 centres spread across150 cities in India between 19^th and 25^th April.SRMGEET and SRMCAT would be held on line on 23^rd and 24^th April.

Registration closes on 15^th of March 2016.  Examination slot booking is from 26^th to 30^th March 2016. Immediately upon choosing the exam slot, hall ticket can be downloaded. Results will be declared on 4^th of May 2016 followed by online and on campus counseling. 

The eligibility for B.Tech at SRM’s Kattankullathur Campus isa minimum aggregate of 65% in PCM/PCB; for other campuses and other programs it is 60% in qualifying exam.

To enable qualifying students not to be constrained by finance, SRM facilitates on- the spot sanction of bank educational loans during admission counselling.
