Dear readers, we have prepared an analysis of SSC CGL tier-III exam 2016-17 held on 19thMarch 2017 tentatively. The Tier-III exam is conducted first time from this year only in CGL exam, whereas descriptive paper is common in SBI PO exam. There are mainly three components of the Tier-III exam namely, essay writing, precise writing and letter writing. These three topics and questions based on them are also similar in SBI PO exam. As we know, from this year onwards, SSC will take this exam. Hence, candidates can get help from the SBI PO previous year exam and can prepare for both simultaneously.
Now, let us go through the exam paper: Descriptive paper
There are two questions in total and the time duration for solving them was 60 minutes.
** All questions were mandatory to solve and there was no choice in selecting the alternative question.
Essay topics asked in SSC CGL Tier-III exam 2016-17
Only one essay was asked having 50 marks of weightage and 250 as word limit on the following topic: -
Topic- In the event of an earthquake, what you should do, what you should not.
Essay/Letter/precise writing questions was framed based on the general events and general knowledge. If, you are very agile in grabbing knowledge and familiar science, technology or regular governmental routine work. Then, you will find this paper very easy. The only and last thing during the exam is to embody your ideas in a sequential and effective manner.
Finally, the overall paper was easy to handle and understand, as asked topics were general in nature. Rest depends upon the assessing authority.
