    Q: As a parent, I would like to know the symptom of stress so that I can help my child just at the right time. What are the physical and psychological symptoms of stress?

    A: I really appreciate your concern to save your child from any kind of stress. The various physical symptoms of stress includes muscle tension, indigestion, sleep difficulties, rapid uneven or pounding heartbeat, frequent urge to pass urine, fast or shallow breathing, chest discomfort, change in appetite, constipation or diarrhoea, and backache or headache. The psychological reaction of stress includes feeling under pressure, frustration, aggression, feeling tense and inability to relax, feeling mentally drained out, fussy, gloomy or suspicious, being constantly frightened or irritable, and inability to concentrate or complete the task.
