TIFR, Mumbai Notified Recruitment for 06 Various Posts 2014

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai invited applications for recruitment to 6 posts – 2 posts each of Engineer Trainee, Scientific Assistant (B) and Assistant Security Officer (A). Vacancy Details:

Total vacancies: 6 posts

1. Engineer Trainee: 2 posts
Stipend: Rs.25000 per month
Age limit: below 28 years
Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology with 1 to 2 years experience in web application development in PHP and RDBMS in a Linux environment, Core Java programming.  
Period of recruitment: initially for a period of one year; extendable for another year;

2. Scientific Assistant (B): 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band -2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month
Age limit: below 33 years
Qualification: SSC/HSC; Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Computer Science with 1-2 years experience in Systems & Network Administration.
Period of recruitment: initially for a period of 3 year, including probation period of one year.

3. Scientific Assistant (B): 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band -2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month
Age limit: below 33 years
Qualification: B.Sc. and Graduate in Library Science with Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications and 2 years experience in a well established Scientific/ Technical Library.
Period of recruitment: initially for a period of 3 year, including probation period of one year.

4. Assistant Security Officer (A): 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band -2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month
Age limit: below 40 years
Qualification: Graduate with Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications and NCC Certificate OR Advanced Civil Defence Course Certificate/ Home Guard Training and 5 years experience in Security
Physical Fitness & Eye sight: as prescribed

5. Assistant Security Officer (A): 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band -2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month
Age limit: below 38 years
Qualification: Graduate with Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications and NCC Certificate OR Advanced Civil Defence Course Certificate/ Home Guard Training and 5 years experience in Security with experience in Safety and Fire Management.
Physical Fitness & Eye sight: as prescribed
Candidates applying for posts at Sr.No 4& 5 will have to pass the prescribed Physical Efficiency Test

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Interview.
