GATE 2017: Tips to Crack GATE Exam

GATE is Considered as one of the toughest exam in India. Since all the IITs participate in this exam, therefore this exam requires Proper strategy, Mental peace, a well researched planning, discipline approach and motivated enough to crack this GATE exam.

GATE 2017Dear Aspirants, The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2017, examination schedules have been announced on GATE official website. The online examination for GATE 2017 shall be conducted on February 4 – 5, 2017 & February 11 – 12, 2017  (Saturdays and Sundays only) by Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

The GATE exam is conducted for admissions to Postgraduate Courses (Master’s and Doctoral) with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships in Engineering /Technology /Architecture/ Science are open to those who qualify in GATE.

Some of the PSUs also use GATE score for their recruitment. Examinations for all the papers will be conducted as Computer Based Tests only.

The GATE 2017 score shall be valid for three years. This year GATE 2017 shall also hold examinations for candidates in other countries such as, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Preparation Strategy:

Preparation Tips:

Aspirants must know that some of the subjects have differential marking in GATE, therefore subject with higher marks weightage should be given high priority.

Aspirants must have proper time for GATE preparation which depend upon individual to individual according to their capability and potential to grasp the concept easily and how.

 

The ideal time to start the preparation is always a year before than the actual exam day. In this one year aspirants would have ample time to revisit the course, understand the complex concept and enough practice with previous year paper.

Based on the syllabus and previous year question paper, it is always expected from the student to draw a line (Exam pattern, Analysis of question paper etc.) so that preparation should be according to their strategy.

Based on the analysis of previous year exam, list out the important topics from where no. of questions asked in exam is high. Give such topics/chapter some extra attention.

Last but not the least, have a roadmap for your plan and execution of plan. Follow your plan religiously and mind it YOU are the maker of your own DESTINY.
