TNEA Counselling Rescheduled:
TNEA 2014 Counselling has been rescheduled and will start from July 7, 2014. Anna University has announced the Counselling Schedule of TNEA 2014 for various Academic and Vocational courses. This counselling schedule was postponed earlier in view of the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court which was given because of the pending affiliation status of some of the colleges in Tamilnadu. Candidates eligible for the TNEA 2014 Counselling will be informed through the SMS on their registered mobile number.
About TNEA:
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) is the process through which engineering aspirants get themselves enrolled into engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu through single window counselling. The Government of Tamil Nadu entrusted Anna University to conduct Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. Anna University designed, developed, and adopted TNEA Single Window Counselling process. Around 2.12 lakh applications have been sold by Anna University out of which 1,73,687 filled in applications were received. Total male applicants are 1,07,048 and female applicants are 66,639 females including the academic and vocational streams.

- Sports Quota: 4,852 applicants (3,450 male; 1,402 female)
- Differently abled: 488 applicants (349 male; 139 female)
- Wards of ex-servicemen: 2,518 applicants (1,491 male; 1,027 female)
- Tuition Fee Waiver eligible candidates are around 92,731 students (59,427 male; 33,304 female)
