UGC Added three new Coordinating Universities on the List for NET Exam

The University Grants Commission (UGC) came up with adding three more coordinating Universities with their respective codes to the existing list for the National Eligibility Test (NET)

The University Grants Commission (UGC) came up with adding three more coordinating Universities with their respective codes to the existing list for the National Eligibility Test (NET) to be conducted on 30 December 2012. The three news universities that have been added to the list are Doon University,Dehradun; Kumaun University, Nainital; and Pondicherry University, Puducherry.

While applying online, candidates are required to ascertain the venue of the test from the coordinating universities/ colleges mentioned in the notification.

Candidates should note that 16 November 2012 is the last date for applying (online) for UGC NET December 2012. The date was however extended to 18 November 2012 (midnight) for candidates who had paid NET fee through bank challan till 16 November 2012.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for Indian nationals to determine the eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
