UGC Grants 1.5 Crore Under CPE Scheme to A Mumbai College

    University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted a lump sum amount of Rs 1.5 crore to a college in Mumbai under the ‘College with Potential for Excellence’  (CPE) scheme.

    The college named KPB Hinduja College is considered to be a recognized college of the area. The college has been selected from among 350 colleges across the nation who participated in the scheme.

    Under the CPE Scheme, UGC encourage selected Universities to reach world class standards in their chosen domain by providing additional funds to them under the Scheme. The Potential for Excellence award by UGC was instituted close to a decade ago in a bid to encourage colleges to reach global standards of education.
