UGC NET 2024 Exam Analysis Live Updates: Check Shift 1, 2 Review, Difficulty Level & Good Attempts

UGC NET Hindi Exam 2025 featured questions across diverse topics, with a majority rated as moderate in difficulty. The maximum questions were asked from topic कारक followed by काव्य के लक्षण.

According to candidates who appeared for the exam on January 8, good attempts are estimated to range between 40-44 out of 50 questions, reflecting a moderate level of difficulty.

Based on the candidates' feedback, the overall difficulty level was easy to moderate. Check the section-wise difficulty level in the table below.

Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories need to score 105 marks out of 300 combined in both papers.

Candidates belonging to the General category need to secure 40% in the UGC NET exam to qualify. This means they must obtain at least 120 marks out of 300.

UGC NET cut off marks are determined based on category-specific minimum qualifying criteria for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. For candidates in the General category, the minimum qualifying percentage is set at 40%, while candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories must secure at least 35% to qualify. 

No numerical questions were asked in Research Aptitude. The questions were asked from the following topics:

Shift 1 of UGC NET has ended. Questions in the Mass Communication section were asked from the following topics:

Usually, candidates find the Logical Reasoning section of the UGC NET exam difficult. However, this time, many aspirants found it easier.

UGC NET 2024 exam has posed a slightly tougher challenge for candidates compared to the June session. Students have reported a higher level of difficulty in Education Paper.

Paper 1 was moderate in difficulty level, however, paper 2 was easy.

According to students, the overall difficulty level of today's Education paper was moderate. While Paper 1 posed some challenges, Paper 2 was considered relatively easy.

The Shift 1 exam of UGC NET, held on January 3, has been successfully concluded at 12:00 PM. Candidates' reactions and feedback on the exam will be available shortly.

For every correct answer, candidates will get 2 marks. There is no negative marking in NTA UGC NET exam.

UGC NET Paper 1 will be conducted online, comprising 50 questions from 10 subjects. A total of 5 questions will be asked from each subject, each carrying a weightage of two marks.

The UGC NET December 2024 exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency, began today, January 3. It is being held in two shifts: from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. In the first shift, the Public Administration exam is being conducted, while the second shift includes Economics, Rural Economics, Cooperation, Demography, Development Planning, Development Studies, Econometrics, Applied Economics, Development Economics, and Business Economics.
