UGC to announce result of Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam on 20 March 2013

    In an important notification dated 6 March 2013, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) announced date for declaration of result for Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2012. The result will likely be announced on 20 March 2013. Post declaring results, CSIR shall extend last date for submission of application for June 2013 Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam. notify

    The test was conducted on 23 December 2012 across 6 subjects including Engineering Sciences at 26 centres across the nation. CSIR conducts Joint CSIR UGC NET Examination 2012 twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and to determine the eligibility for the recruitment of lecturers in 6 subjects under the faculty of Science & Technology.

    The mode of examination was objective type with Multiple Choice Questions for all the six subjects namely Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering Sciences.
