University of Calcutta, Invited Applications to Ph.D in Applied Psychology

University of Calcutta, Department of Applied Psychology invited applications for admission to Ph.D course and subsequent research work for obtaining the Ph.D degree in Applied Psychology.

Candidates who wish to pursue research work in the department should apply in the prescribed application form by paying Rs. 100.00 through a challan (obtainable from Cash Counter in Rajabazar Science College Campus and College Street Campus).

The candidates who are eligible will have to appear for a written examination to be held in the Department on 30 November 2012. The syllabus of this examination is the UGC NET (Paper II and III A) in Psychology andexisting syllabus of M.A./M.Sc. in Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta.

Post the written examination, the results of the written test will be published on 13 December  2012. The successful candidates will be called for an interview on 24 December  2012. The candidates will be finally selected as Probationary Ph.D. student of this department on the basis of the evaluation in the interview.

The candidates who have already passed the UGC (JRF) examination/NET/SET/SLET/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations or passed the M.Phil in Psychology or equivalent examinations need not appear for the written examination.
