UP Board Class 12 Human Science Syllabus 2024-25: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board has released the latest and updated syllabus for subjects covered from classes 9-12. This article discusses the aspects of the syllabus of UP Board Class 12 Human Science in detail. Students should design their preparations for the Board examination keeping the syllabus in mind.

Human Science is the study of various aspects of our existence through analysis. Lets take a look at the guidelines of Class 12 Human Science paper.

The guidelines of UP Board Class 12 Human Science Paper are as follows:

The duration of the written examination of the Human Science subject will be three hours for 70 marks.
There will be a practical examination of 30 marks.
It will be mandatory for students to obtain 23 marks in written, 10 marks in practical and minimum 33 marks in yoga.

Here are some of the objectives of UP Board Class 12 Human Science Course-

To obtain information about the development of society, its basic factors, expansion, diversity and to draw conclusions about its nature.
To acquire the ability to take decisions by knowing about the contemporary problems of the society.
To establish the socialist form of society by presenting human development, its achievements and failures in a lively and inspiring form.
To give students knowledge about the development of the subject called anthropology and the outline of anthropology made from various studies conducted in the 19th and 20th centuries.
To create the ability to understand and solve the problems of human social and cultural life.

UP Board Class 12 Human Science Course Structure

As per the syllabus, there are sections devoted to social, cultural anthropology, physical anthropology, applied anthropology and human science. The external and internal assessments hold a weightage of 15 marks each. The external exam will consist of outlining and marking of skull and appendage bones (6 marks), anthroposcopy (4 marks) and oral test (5 marks). The internal exam will be conducted on the basis of- project work (10 marks) and experimental record book (5 marks).

Note: Project work and practical record book will be presented by students at the time of council practical examination.
