UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2017 final result have been declared. 232 candidates have been selected against the 236 vacancies notified by UPSC. The selection is based on the combined merit obtained by candidates in UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2017 and interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.
Selected candidates will be admitted to Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for 107th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for 21st Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course. The courses will commence in April, 2018.
UPSC has notified that the final list of selected candidates for 107th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier, on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).
Candidates should note that the selection is provisional at this stage until the verification of date of birth and educational qualification documents and outcome of medical examination.
UPSC has notified that the final scores of candidates will be made available through the UPSC website in coming 15 days. In case candidates require any Iinformation or clarification they may contact facilitation counter near examination hall Building located in UPSC premises.
