UPSC Notified Online Recruitment to 81 Various Posts 2013

    The Union Public Service Commission invited application for recruitment to 13 various posts. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 16 August 2013. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination and Combined Medical Services Examination.

    Age limit

    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 50 years for post no. 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 13
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 40 years for post no. 5 (for 1 post reserved for Scheduled Castes Candidates), 7 and 8 posts
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 38 years for post no. 5 (for 1 post reserved for OBC Candidates)
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 35 years for post no. 1, 4 and 11 posts
    • Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

    Educational Qualifications

    • Assistant Director: Masters Degree in Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic or Organic or Analytical Chemistry or M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Soil Science or Agricultural Chemistry of a University or Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
    • Professor: Degree in Science / Engineering with Associateship in Sugar Technology awarded by National Sugar Institute, Kanpur OR Post Graduate diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent.
    • Assistant Professor: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent.
    • Assistant Director (S & R): Masters degree in Entomology / Plant pathology / Bio-chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent (OR) Masters degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology / Plant pathology / Bio-chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent (OR) Masters degree in Zoology / Botany with specialization in Entomology / Plant pathology from a recognized University or equivalent.
    • Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology): Degree in Science/Engineering with Associateship in Sugar Technology awarded by National Sugar Institute, Kanpur (or) Post Graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent.
    • Additional Legal Adviser: Degree in law of a recognised university or equivalent and candidate should be a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than thirteen years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than thirteen years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than thirteen years or is a qualified legal practitioner.
    • Assistant Government Advocate: Degree in law of a recognized university or equivalent and candidate should be a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than seven years or has held a "superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than seven years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than seven years or possesses a Masters Degree in Law and has had teaching or research experience in Law for not less than five years or is a qualified legal practitioner of not less than 30 years of age.
    • Assistant Legal Adviser: Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent and candidate should be a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than seven years or has held a "superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than seven years or is a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than seven years or possesses a Masters Degree in Law and has had teaching or research experience in Law for not less than five years or is a qualified legal practitioner of not less than 30 years of age.
    • Superintending Officer (Ore Dressing): Degree in Mining Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology or Metallurgy from a recognized University or Institution or its equivalent; OR Masters Degree in Geology (or) Ore Dressing or Chemistry or Physics from a recognized University or Institution or its equivalent.
    • Editor (Bharatiya Rail): Masters degree in Hindi from a recognized University/equivalent.
    • Deputy Architect: Possess Degree in Architecture of a recognized University or Institution and should be registered as Architect with the Council of Architecture under the Architect Act 1972.
    • Professor of Information Technology (Technical): B.E. / B.Tech (ECE) and ME/M.Tech (ECE/IT/CSE) with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME / M.Tech. And PhD or equivalent with specialization in any area related to Digital System Design / Embedded System / Multimedia & Communication / Sensor Network / Signal Processing / Pervasive Computing.
    • Professor of Civil Engineering (Technical): B.E. / B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and ME/M.Tech in Structure / Structure Dynamics with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME/ M.Tech. And PhD or equivalent with specialization in any area related to Structure / Structure Dynamics.

    Pay Scales

    • Rs.37, 400-67,000 + Rs.10, 000 (Academic Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.85, 320/-), General Central Service, Group 'A', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial for the posts Nos.12 and 13.
    • Rs.37, 400-67,000 (PB-4) + Rs.8, 700 (Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.82, 980/-), General Central Service, Group 'A', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial for the posts Nos.2 and 9.
    • Rs.37, 400-67,000 (PB-4) + Rs.8, 700 (Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.82, 980/-), Indian Legal Service, Group 'A', Gazetted, for the posts No.6.

    Application Fee

    • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
    • No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee

    Selection Process

    Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written examination/ interview.

    How to Apply

    • Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.upsconline.nic.in website on or before 16 August 2013.
    • Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
    • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
    • After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application before 17 August 2013.
    • Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents if called for interview.
