Steps to Apply for UPSC OTR 2025
For a variety of UPSC vacancies, OTR provides candidates to fill out an online application without providing personal details. Candidates will be able to update or fetch their personal information anywhere at any time. Check the steps below that are involved in the UPSC OTR process.
Step 1:Visit the official website, i.e., upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click the “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations” button.
Step 3: Now click on the “New Registration” button.
Step 4: Now, enter the asked details, such as “Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, domicile, etc.
Step 5: Click on the Register button to complete the registration process.
Step 6: In the next step, log in with the email ID. Mobile number and OTR.
Step 7: Now complete the verification process through the registered email ID and mobile number.
Step 8: In the next step, fill out the details like personal details, other details, communication details, qualifications and experience details in the application form.
Step 9: After that, upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
Step 10: After filling in all details correctly, preview all details and click the “Lock and final submit” button in the “Lock and final submit" section of the OTR dashboard.
Step 11: Preview all details carefully, tick the declaration and click on the “Lock and final submit” button to save details.
Step 12: Click on the “Get OTR number immediately” button to generate their OTR number. As with this OTR number, only they can fill out the UPSC application form.

UPSC OTR: Photo and Signature Size
Candidates registering for UPSC OTR should have a photograph and signature in the prescribed format as decided by UPSC. The signature should be affixed on white paper, preferably with a black ink pen for its better visibility. Each of the scanned images of the photograph/signature should not exceed 300 KB and must not be less than 20 KB in size. The resolution of the photograph and signature is 350 pixels (width) * 350 pixels (height) minimum and 1000 pixels (width) * 1000 pixels (height) maximum.
