Eligibility Criteria for Professor, Associate Professor, and Other Posts
Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:
Professor: candidate should be an PhD in the concerned/ allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published works with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research /policy papers and should have expertise in the traditional system in the respective area and a Vidwath degree with distinction with 10 years experience in Teaching and Research..
Associate professor: candidate should be an PhD in the concerned/ allied/relevant discipline and Master’s degree with minimum 55 percent and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published works with a minimum of 05 publications as books and / or research /policy papers and should have expertise in the traditional system in the respective area and a Vidwath degree with distinction with 08 years experience in Teaching and Research..
Assistant Professor: Candidate should have Master’s Degree with minimum 55% in concerned subject from a recognised university and should have qualified NET/SLET/SET accredited by UGC.
Librarian: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent and PhD in the above discipline and/or allied discipline and should have minimum of 15 years of teaching /librarian experience of which at least 5 years experience as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 10 years experience as Assistant Librarian in the University or as College Librarian.
Assistant Librarian: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent and should have qualified SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC.
Selection Process for Professor, Associate Professor and Other Posts
Candidates will be selected on the basis of statutes governing the cadre and recruitment of the Employees of Karnataka Samskrit University.
