Year of Establishment: 1997
Purpose: VSAT, an all India entrance test is conducted each year to select candidates for admission to the university’s undergraduate engineering programmes.
Cost of Form: Rs. 800 (Rs. 600 for women candidates) Form available at Vignan or selected SBI banks and also online.
Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 Pass with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Central/State Board.
Date of Examination: 30 April, 2011
Deadline for Application Submission: 15 April, 2011
Selection Process: Each candidate is supposed to take an entrance test
(i) Duration of Paper: 3 hours
(ii) Type of Questions: Objective type questions
(iii) Any Negative Marking? Yes. Each question carries four marks. There is negative marking for a wrong answer.
Based on V-SAT’11, 80% of the total intake will be decided (in the order of merit). The remaining 20% of the total intake ('B' Category) would be based on the eligibility criteria (a minimum of aggregate of 60% in Class 12)
