  • Antonyms- Drenched, wet, flooded 

Imperative 

  • Meaning- Of vital importance. 
  • Part of speech- Adjective
  • Sentence use- It was imperative that all the hostages be rescued safely. 
  • Synonyms- Necessary, integral, essential 
  • Antonyms- Insignificant, nonessential 

Haughty

  • Meaning- Arrogant and full of pride. 
  • Part of speech- Adjective
  • Sentence use- The teacher looked away with haughty contempt. 
  • Synonyms- Superior, smug, pretentious 
  • Antonyms- Humble, modest, shy
