    • Main paper (2 hours and 40 minutes) and an essay (20 minutes).

     Pattern

XAT is a pen-paper based test. It ensures that candidates of all backgrounds are at par, so that those who have pre-familiarity of operating computers, specially coming from privileged background or having worked in IT sector, do not get any advantage over others who do not have access to computers. It also ensures that all candidates are tested on exactly the same set of questions, and not on different sets.

XAT 2014 Exam will have four sections:

    • Verbal and Logical Ability
    • Decision Making
    • Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
    • General Knowledge

The marks of General Knowledge will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at first stage of selection. However it is used by XLRI and some other Associate Member Institutes at the time of final selection.
