The XAT 2014 will be held in pen-paper mode, as like earlier XAT exams.
Pen-paper format ensures that candidates coming from all backgrounds are at par -- those having pre-familiarity of operating computers, specially those coming from privileged background / having worked in IT sector, do not get any advantage over others who do not have access to computers.
The XAT 2014 exam paper will have four sections:
(i) Quantitative Ability,
(ii) English Language,
(iii) Logical Reasoning and
(iv) Decision Making and General Knowledge.
Marks obtained by the candidates in General Knowledge portion will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at first stage of selection. However, it may be used by the XLRI and some other Associate Member Institutes during final selection.
