Apollo Hospitals Group signed MoU with Rochester Varsity US

The Apollo Hospitals Group on 27 August 2013 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Rochester Medical Centre (URMC), New York, USA, for academic collaboration and patient care.

As part of the MoU the Rochester University and Apollo Hospital’s under-graduate medical college will have faculty and student exchange programme. The University of Rochester will provide its expertise in designing special curriculum, which will be taught in India in addition to the syllabus prescribed by the Medical Council of India.

The two institutions would also share expertise, in-clinical care and research across multiple specialities such as gastroenterology, emergency medicine and Neurosciences.

Healthy Schools Program

On the occasion of 25th anniversary of Apollo Hospital Group (AHG) of Hyderabad, the AHG announced an emergency health care scheme Healthy Schools for school children on 27 August 2013.

This programme is offered at 200 rupees per student per year, covering screening, maintenance of health record and health education. A fifty thousand worth treatment will be provided for accidents (students and parents).
