The Black Sea is a marginal Mediterranean sea lying between Europe and Asia. It lies to the east of the Balkans in Southeast Europe and drains into the Mediterranean Sea. The countries bordering the Black Sea include Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Turkey and Romania.

National War Memorial's 3rd anniversary was observed on February 25, 2022. The Chiefs of the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force laid wreaths at the National War Memorial to commemorate the occasion.

The Indian Navy is hosting multilateral exercise called MILAN 2022 from February 25, 2022 in Andhra Pradesh's Vishhakhapatnam. The exercise will take place over a period of nine days and will provide the navy with opportunities to collaborate with its counterparts from across the world.

The National War Memorial was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25, 2019. The national war memorial was built in remembrance of the valour and sacrifice of all soldiers, who laid down their lives for the country, since 1947.

The Chernobyl Nuclear accident occurred on April 26, 1986 at one of the nuclear reactors in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The nuclear power plant is located near the city of Pripyat in the north of Ukrainian SSR. The Chernobyl plant was built by the Soviet Union when it controlled Ukraine.

Tripura High Court has banned animal slaughtering in public places and also expressed concern over quality of consumable meat. The Tripura HC has also directed Agartala Municipal Corporation Authorities to arrange for makeshift facilities where the slaughtering of animals for human consumption would be carried out till the proposed slaughterhouse starts functioning.
