Glimpses of the India Story; Multi-Media Initiative on UPA Commitment Unveiled

A multi-media initiative that captures the nine years long journey of development across various sectors through programs and policies of Government was launched on 13 May 2013 by the Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Manish Tewari. The initiative aims on rights framework, inclusive growth and urban renewal for People’s empowerment

The multi-media initiative launched with a theme Glimpses of the India Story and it is designed to underscore the impact of the policy decisions at ground level for participatory governance and inclusive growth within a right framework.

The Content of the initiative reinforced the development of the trajectory that has been institutionalized by the Government via passage of legislations in past nine years. The multi-media initiative would be put across on television, radio, print and outdoor publicity with the objective of informing and appraising the public to encourage greater participation in these efforts.

The multi-media initiative has been given a tagline - Meelo hum aa gaye Meelo hamien jaana hain as it underscores the need to continue on the path ahead to ensure that the country is able to face the challenges of economic growth and social equity. The initiative will also summarize real life stories based on the human development agenda of the Union Government that has touched people and played a role in transforming their lives.

This initiative will be disseminated in 11 regional languages across the country in order to reach out to the poor and the most marginalized people in all corners of the country.
