Huawei Technologies Declared to Work on 5G Mobile Technology
Huawei Technologies declared in July 2013 that it was working on the fifth generation (5G) mobile technology, which would possibly be available by 2020.
Huawei Technologies, the Chinese equipment maker declared in July 2013 that it was working on the fifth generation (5G) mobile technology, which would possibly be available by 2020. The company explained that 200 people were working on this project. Also, a specific amount was allocated for the research and development of this technology.
Huawei Technologies also explained that there will be billions of connections by 2020 and 5G can help by providing a lot of creativity. The new 5G technology will help the people having a user experience like fibre network on their wireless connection. 5G will help in facilitating the speed of 10 GBps that means 100 times faster than the technology used today in the mobiles.
In the meanwhile, Samsung, the South-Korean giant also announced successfully testing the 5G technology. Samsung announced that the technology will be available for commercial roll out by 2020. All over the world, the mobile operators have started working towards the high-speed long term evolution (LTE), also called 4G networks. Huawei Technologies, in the meanwhile, provides equipment to 85 networks like these. The company has already started the trial run for testing the speed on 4G technology on high speed MagLev train in Shanghai.
Huawei Technologies deployed the LTE network for supporting the wireless connectivity on the train that runs from centre of the Shanghai district to the International Airport. The overall length of this track is 31 km. The train has the speed of 431 km per hour. Huawei Technologies explained that on a speed like this, the 4G technology has the capability of providing the download speed of around 50 MBps.
