India and Bangladesh on 24 July 2012 decided to fast track the implementation of various agreements reached between them in 2010 and 2011.The decision was taken during the foreign office consultations held between them in New Delhi. The various agreements are related to projects under the Indian line of credit, land boundary agreement implementation, trade facilitation measures, infrastructure development of land customs station and border haats. The co-operation in renewable energy and nuclear energy was also discussed during the Foreign Office consultations.


Infrastructure and development projects worth 800 million US Dollars have already been identified and are in different stages of implementation in Bangladesh under the line of credit being provided by India which include purchase of buses, railway wagons, coaches and engines.
