The National Anti-Doping Appeal Panel (NADAP) on 20 March 2012 ruled that the sample collection dates were being chosen as commencement date of suspension for the four Indian athletes facing ban in the doping case.

The NADAP ruling has increased the prospects of banned athletes taking part in the London Olympics 2012.
Ashwini A.C, Priyanka Panwar, Sini Jose, Tiana Mary Thomas four Indian women athletes were awarded with a one year ban by the NADAP last year. Given that all the four athletes suspended earlier from provisional suspension dates, Ashwini A.C. and Priyanka Panwar would now return to competition on June 26 while Sini Jose and Tiana Mary Thomas can come back on June 11.

WADA had appealed against the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) verdict last month and said that the four athletes should be sanctioned a two years ban starting on the date of the decision rendered by the appeal panel.
