Reliance Communications (Rcom) that had won the licence to offer Third Generation (3G) mobile telephony services in India announced recently that the 3G services on its network could be offered by the end of the 2010 or early 2011. The company also announced on 4 August 2010 that it had entered into an agreement with Universal Music to make preperation for the 3G launch. The objective is also to offer music-related services and content across the GSM, CDMA 3G and Wireless Broadband platforms. As per the agreement both companies agreed to make investment and work to offer all-round music experience to customers across all platforms, including voice, WAP, IVR, Blog and through On-Ground events.
