Telenor India, earlier known as Uninor, on 12 October 2015 appointed Sharad Mehrotra as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The appointment came after the position was vacated by Vivek Sood who has been promoted to the positions of Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
The appointments will be effective from 1 November 2015.
Before the appointment, Mehrotra worked as Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Myanmar, where he played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Telenor's mobile services.
