Kanya Sumangala Yojana launched in UP for families with the girl child

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on October 25, 2019, launched the Kanya Sumangla Yojna to provide Rs 15000 in a phased manner to every family where a girl child is born. The scheme was launched in Lucknow. The funds will be released in several instalments such as at the time of the birth of girl child, during the vaccination, during her admission to the school and on other events.
