1. (a) Akhilesh Ranjan
The Union Government on November 26, 2017 appointed appointed Akhilesh Ranjan as Convenor of the Task Force that was constituted in Nove,ber 2017 for drafting a New Direct Tax Legislation. Akhilesh Ranjan is presently serving as the Member (Legislation) of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). The other members of the Task Force remain unchanged.

2. (b) Harmanpreet Kaur
Harmanpreet Kaur was named as Captain of the ICC Women's World Twenty20 XI, which also featured opener Smriti Mandhana and leg-spinner Poonam Yadav. A selection panel of ICC in Dubai picked up the team on the basis of the players' performances in the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty-20 tournament.

3. (c) Nageshwara Rao Guntur
Renowned scientist Nageshwara Rao Guntur was appointed as Chairperson of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) for the period of 3 years. Guntur is the chairman at Project Design Safety Committee, Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) and former distinguished scientist Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL).

The web platform was designed and developed by Allahabad Bank, the nodal bank under the scheme.

The International Cricket Council on November 26, 2018 submitted its bid for the inclusion of T20 women's cricket in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The bid was made in partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Cricket has made just one appearance at the Games previously, with men playing in 1998 in Kuala Lumpur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two-day international conference on Maternal, new born and child health in New Delhi on December 12, 2018. The programme has been framed around the objectives of the global strategy of Survive, Thrive and Transform. The main objective of the conference is to improve knowledge, alignment and accountability to accelerate action on women's, children's and adolescents health.

Scientists have found that MRI brain scans can help predict whether a person will develop dementia in the next three years before the symptoms of the disorder appear. In a study, researchers from Washington University and the University of California, San Francisco in the US used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scans to predict dementia with 89 per cent accuracy.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced that a cricketer guilty of age fraud will be barred from all its recognised tournaments for a period of two years. According to the earlier rules, a cricketer guilty of age fraud had to face a ban for a period of one year.

NASA’s InSight explorer successfully touched down on Mars on November 26, after an almost seven-month journey through deep space. This is the eighth time in human history that NASA has executed a successful landing on the red planet and the first in six years.
