Two Andhra Pradesh Ministers Charged in Jaganmohan Reddy Case Resigned

P Sabita Reddy and D Prasada Rao, the State Cabinet Ministers of Andhra Pradesh charged in the YS Jaganmohan Reddy's disproportionate assets case resigned.

P Sabita ReddyAndhra Pradesh Home Minister P Sabita Reddy and Roads and Buildings Minister D Prasada Rao resigned on 19 May 2013 from their office after the two were accused in disproportionate assets case that involved Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

P Sabita Reddy has been named as an accused in the illegal allocation of mines to certain cement companies, while handling the profile of Minister of Mines in the state. Prasada Rao has been accused in the CBI chargesheet in the Vanpic Land Allotment Scandal, when he was the Revenue Minister in the YS Rajasekhara Reddy led Government.

The two ministers submitted their resignation to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Their resignations will be forwarded to the Governor ESL Narasimhan for approval by the Chief Minister.
