UP to Boost Electric Mobility with 120 New E-Buses: Check Districts and Routes

UPSRTC is set to receive 120 new electric buses under the Yogi administration’s initiative to enhance public transportation. The electric buses will be allocated to crucial districts. Find out which districts are getting these new buses and the specific routes they will operate on.

The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will receive 120 new electric buses as part of the Yogi administration's plan to improve public transportation. The announcement came on September 18 from an official source of the Yogi government. 

The official statement read, "These buses will be added to the 100 that have already been approved and will soon be on the road as the tendering process is anticipated to start soon."

Which District Will Get New E-Buses?

The electric buses will be allocated to crucial districts, with 30 buses each going to Moradabad and Aligarh and 20 buses each going to Lucknow, Ayodhya, and Gorakhpur. 

The buses will be equipped with modern features and advanced technology to offer passengers a comfortable travel experience. These E-buses will support environmentally friendly transportation across the state, thus reducing pollution in the state.

New E-Buses Routes

There will be twenty buses running between Awadh Bus Station and New Barabanki Station in Lucknow. Similar to this, Ayodhya would have twenty buses running on routes such as Ayodhya-Lucknow (4), Ayodhya-Gorakhpur (4), Ayodhya-Prayagraj-Gonda (6), and Ayodhya-Sultanpur-Varanasi (6).

Earlier, the UP government had announced its plan to replace 45% of its current fleet of 11,238 buses with electric buses this financial year. This move, announced by the UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), aims to boost electric mobility in the state.

This new 120 fleet of buses is in accordance with this announcement. The initiative reflects the state’s commitment to sustainable development and cleaner transportation solutions.
