The West Bengal Government on 23 April 2013 cleared the setting up of an inquiry commission to look into money collecting schemes and organisations in the State.
The commission is going to be headed by retired Justice Shyamal Sen and is supposed to have three to four other members assisting him.
The commission will function in investigating the activities of the Saradha group which went bankrupt in second week of April 2013 leading to several thousands of depositors and agents asking for intervention by the State Government.
The commission will also come out with newspaper advertisements. Any aggrieved person can approach the commission with complaints in case they feel cheated.
