World War II aircraft wreckage found in Manipur

A wreckage of an aircraft has been found by the residents of an interior village of Manipur at Konu Hil in Senapati district in January 2014. It is believed that the wreckage is of an aircraft from the Second World War.

The wreckage of the aircraft comprise of main engine, which was detected by the members of Youth Club of Senjam Chirang village. The aircrafts wreckage weighs about 300 kilogram and had 14 pistols. It is possible that the aircraft would be of the forces, who were engaged in a battle with the Japanese forces in Manipur.

Similarly earlier, a Japanese submarine that was lost at the sea during Second World War was located in the coast of Hawaii by a team of explorers in December 2014.
