NEET PG 2023 counselling: MCC will release the NEET Post Graduate exam counselling dates on its website. The candidates who will obtain the minimum cut off marks will be eligible to participate in the NEET PG seat allotment process. The counselling for NEET PG admission is done through online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment result, and reporting to the venue. NEET PG Counselling 2023

Medical Counselling Committee releases the NEET PG counselling schedule for the candidates. The counselling round is conducted for candidates who successfully secure high marks and rank in the NEET PG exam to take admission into NEET PG colleges across the country. Candidates who secure marks more than or equal to the counselling cut-off marks are assigned NEET PG seat allotment. The agency has announced that the NEET PG 2023 exam is scheduled for March 05, 2023.

The counselling of NEET PG is conducted for admission to the following quotas:

  • 50% All India Quota seats
  • 50% State Quota seats
  • Armed Forces Medical Services
  • Deemed Universities
  • Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU)
  • ESIC colleges

To take admission into NEET PG colleges, four counselling rounds are held, i.e. round 1, round 2, mop up round, and stray vacancy round. MCC will release seat allotment result based on choice filled, availability of seats in particular institutes, reservation criteria and other factors. The seat is allotted separately for every round. NEET PG Counselling Cut Off Marks

The National Testing Agency releases the minimum cut off marks a candidate needs to secure to qualify for the NEET PG counselling round. These marks are released along with the NEET PG result. NEET PG Counselling Process

NEET PG counselling process is conducted after all the rounds of the selection process is over. In this, the candidates scoring high marks and ranks are called to participate. Upon qualifying for the same, the candidates become eligible for admission to 50% All India Quota and 100% central seats. Rest 50% of admission is hemmed by the state-based medical colleges. As per the rules, four rounds are conducted under the counselling process. 

NEET PG Counselling Registration

The candidates who wish to participate in the NEET PG examination have to complete the counselling registration. Here you can check the detailed steps to complete the registration formalities:

  • Visit the official website on MCC, mcc.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on PG Medical Counselling link
  • Next, complete the registration process using a valid email ID and mobile number
  • Use the generated credentials to complete the application form filling
  • Enter the candidate’s details, academic qualification, preferred college, rank and marks in the NEET PG examination
  • Finally, make the payment using the online payment method and complete the application form filling formalities

NEET PG Counselling 2023: Choice Filling

After the registration process is over, the candidates will be required to complete the NEET PG choice filling formalities. In this round, they will be allowed to choose the desired colleges and courses from the available options. Filling out the choice filling form for NEET PG counselling form is important as the final selection shall be done based on the candidate’s preference. Here are the steps to fill the choice filling for the NEET PG 2023 counselling process:

  • Visit the official website of MCC, 
  • Now, click on the NEET PG choice filling link 
  • Choose the preferred college and the course name from the drop-down menu
  • Rearrange this list by dragging the elements based on your preference
  • Submit the application form on the dashboard and then log out of the same.

NEET PG Seat Allotment

The NEET PG seat allotment list is released by the MCC after the choice filling is over. This list is drafted considering the rank, and marks secured by the candidates in the examination. The candidates can go through the seat allotment to check the course and college assigned to them by the concerned authority. Those whose name is available on the PDF need to log in to the official website of MCC for downloading their seat allotment letter. 

NEET PG Counselling 2023 Rounds

The NEET PG counselling round is going to have three rounds namely rounds 1, and 2 and the mop-up round. Candidates will be required to participate in the round based on their status. In the section below, you can check details related to the NEET PG counselling process. 

NEET PG Counselling Round 1

The NEET PG counselling round 1 is for those who have got the seat allotment letter from the concerned authorities. In this round, the candidates have the choice of “Free Exit” wherein they can choose to not accept the seat allotted to them. Those who accept the same have to report to the allotted college with all the documents for completing the admission formalities. 

NEET PG Counselling Round 2

The NEET PG counselling round 2 is for those who did not accept the seat allotted to them in round 1, failed to get any seat, wish to upgrade their college or whose seat allotment got cancelled during the verification round. In this round as well, they are given admission based on their preference and seat availability in a particular course. 

NEET PG Counselling Mop Up Round

The NEET PG counselling mop-up round is for those who fail to participate in counselling round 1 and 2 or did not get a seat citing low rank. The mop-up round helps in getting admission to central, deemed and ESIC universities. Candidates who have not registered for counselling round 1 and 2 have to freshly register for this round. The final result for this round is published on the official website of MCC.
