How to Calculate the NEET Qualifying Percentile?
To calculate the NEET cutoff percentile scores, the following formula will be applied by NTA:
NEET Percentile Rank= (100x Number of Aspirants who appeared with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate)/Total number of candidates who attempted the NEET Exam.
NEET Cut-Off Marks 2023: Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case of two or more aspirants secure the same marks/percentile scores in the NEET UG 2023, the tie-breaking criteria in the following order will be used to prepare the merit list:
- Higher marks/percentile scores in Biology (Botany & Zoology) will be preferred first.
- If the tie still persists, then the Higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry will get the preference.
- If there is still a tie, then the higher marks/percentile score in Physics will get the preference.
- If the tie continues, then the candidates with less number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers will get preference.
- If there is still a tie, then Candidate Older in Age will get the preference.
- To break the tie, the Application Number in ascending order will be preferred.
