NEET 2023 Cut Off Category Wise 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the category wise NEET cut off 2023 on its website for all the category of candidates. The NEET cut off 2023 for General category is 720-137, for SC/ST/OBC category is 136-107, for general- PH category is 136-121 and that for Sc/ST/OBC- PH is 120-107.

The NEET cut off marks 2023 is given in the table below for all the category of candidates. The NEET cut off marks for the UR and EWS category has remained the same which is 720-137. The cut off is the minimum marks that is needed to be scored by candidates to be eligible to appear for the counselling.

Which state has the lowest cut-off in NEET 2023 Exam?

How to Calculate the NEET Qualifying Percentile?

To calculate the NEET cutoff percentile scores, the following formula will be applied by NTA:

NEET Percentile Rank= (100x Number of Aspirants who appeared with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate)/Total number of candidates who attempted the NEET Exam.

NEET Cut-Off Marks 2023: Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case of two or more aspirants secure the same marks/percentile scores in the NEET UG 2023, the tie-breaking criteria in the following order will be used to prepare the merit list:

  • Higher marks/percentile scores in Biology (Botany & Zoology) will be preferred first.
  • If the tie still persists, then the Higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry will get the preference.
  • If there is still a tie, then the higher marks/percentile score in Physics will get the preference.
  • If the tie continues, then the candidates with less number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers will get preference.
  • If there is still a tie, then Candidate Older in Age will get the preference.
  • To break the tie, the Application Number in ascending order will be preferred.
