NEET Counselling 2023
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET counselling round 2 for admission into undergraduate medical courses from August 9 onwards. The last date for seat allotment is August 14, 2023. As per the choices made by the NEET aspirants, the NEET counselling round 1 result will be displayed on August 18, 2023.
MCC started the NEET UG counselling for round 1 from 20th July onwards. The NEET counselling form will allow the eligible candidates of NEET 2023 exam to fill their choice of courses and colleges and pay the application fee. Through the NEET 2023 exam, candidates can take admission in MBBS, BDS, BVSc, AH medical colleges across India in NEET participating colleges. Candidates who have qualified the NEET UG exam will be able to apply for NEET counselling to get admission into medical or dental colleges in India in order of merit. To appear for the NEET counselling session, candidates will have to register on MCC website, fill their choice of course, and colleges and pay the application fee. As per the candidate's rank in NEET exam, seat availability and reservation, they will be allotted a seat. MCC's NEET counselling 2023 will be held for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government colleges and 100% in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMC, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programs on the grounds of NEET 2023.
Has NEET Counselling 2023 Started?
Yes, NEET UG counselling has begun from 20th July onwards for round 1. The NEET counselling shall be done in four rounds to offer admission in AIQ seat. For admissions through NEET exam, the State Counselling Authorities will handle NEET counselling 2023 for the 85% State Quota seats, while MCC will handle counselling for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

How to Apply for NEET Counselling After NEET Result?
After the declaration of NEET result, the qualified candidates will have to register for the counselling by visiting the counselling website, i.e. MCC or state authority. The process for NEET counselling shall be provided in the counselling notification.

NEET Counselling 2023 Date Out
The NEET counselling date 2023 has been released by MCC on its website. The counselling shall take place in 2 rounds. After the two rounds have been completed, a mop up round and stray vacancy rounds will be done. NTA declared the NEET UG result 2023 on 13 June 2023. A total of 11,45,976 candidates have qualified the NEET UG exam 2023 this year. NEET UG 2023 Counselling Rounds
NEET Counselling consistsof a total of four rounds. The NEET UG Counseling consists of a total of four rounds. Out of the total rounds, two will be the counselling round while the other will be the mop up round and stray vacancy rounds. The list of rounds that will conducted for the NEET counselling 2023 are as follows:

After the completion of the first four rounds of NEET UG 2023 counselling, additional round of counselling to fill up the vacant seats will also be held. The number of rounds may further increase depending on the seat vacancy.
What is the Eligibility Criteria to appear for NEET Counselling?
The MCC/DGHS will conduct the NEET UG Counselling for qualified candidates for Seats under 15% All India Quota and 100% including 85% State quota seats of Central Institutions/ESIC/ Central Universities/ AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities for the admission into the Undergraduate Medical/Dental Courses.
During the counselling, the eligibility criteria, self-declaration, other required documents, etc. of the qualified candidates shall be cross-checked as per norms prescribed by the concerned authorities and/or Medical/Dental Colleges. Candidates who intend to participate in the NEET counselling 2023 are required to fulfill the following given eligibility requirements:
- Candidates will have to qualify the NEET by obtaining a rank.
- They are required to register on the official website of MCC.
- Candidates who are from the UT of J&K can also participate in NEET counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities.
What is the Central University Eligibility Criteria for the NEET Counselling 2023?
For NEET counselling 2023, the central university eligibility criteria for Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, BHU. Jamia Millia Islamia, VMCC and SJH is explained below.
1) Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC): - 15% seats for All India Quota & 85% institutional quota seats for candidates who have passed their 10+2 in Delhi.
2) Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):- 50% Institutional reservation for the AMU school candidates studying there for the last 3 years. Rest of the 50% of seats to All India candidates.
3) BHU:- Open to All Indian candidates
4) Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: 3 BDS seats under the internal quota of JMI and 47 seats are open to All India quota candidates. Students who have passed their 10+ 2 from Jamia Schools can apply for an internal quota.
5) VMMC & SJH: 15% seats for All India and rest as Institute Quota for students who have passed their 10+2 from Delhi.

The MCC will conduct NEET UG Counselling 2023 for the following:
- 15% All India Quota seats MBBS/ BDS Seats of States
- 100% MBBS/ BDS Seats of BHU OPEN
- AIIMS Open seats- 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India
- JIPMER Open (Puducherry/ Karaikal) & Internal seats (Domicile)
- AMU Open & Internal seats
- 85% Internal quota/domicile seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental)
- Jamia Open seats- Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) & Internal seats
- 15% All India Quota Seats of ESIC & Insured Persons quota seats
- AFMC – Only Registration
- 100% B.Sc (Nursing) of selected Central B.Sc. Nursing Institutes

NEET Counselling Process 2023
Follow the easy steps shared below to know the detailed NEET Counselling Process without any hassles.
- Go to the official MCC website.
- Click on NEET counselling registration and fill in the details like name, date of birth, NEET roll number, registration number, mother's name, etc in the form.
- After registration, pay the NEET counselling fee and security fee via online mode by using a credit card/ debit card.
- Next, they are required to fill in choices for counselling.
- Then, the aspirants need to log in for downloading their seat allotment letters as and when released by the officials.
- After the seat allotment is done, all the qualified candidates should report to the assigned college for the completion of the admissions process. They need to carry all the original documents for verification purposes to the assigned college.
