Choosing the right insurance company is an important decision that many Americans have to take whether they are looking for life, health, home, or auto coverage. Insurance companies are designed to offer a financial cushion in the times of crisis. There are many companies in the United States that serve different purposes and picking the right choice among the available options can be a tad difficult.
Every year, Forbes partners with Statista to survey thousands of customers across the country to find out which insurance companies are performing the best. In the year 2025, Forbes surveyed around 18,000 people in the United States who currently are enrolled in an insurance policy. The rankings are usually based on things like customer satisfaction, how likely people are to recommend the company, advice and service quality, price-performance ratio, transparency, and how quickly claims are handled.
Forbes mentions: “To create the rankings, Forbes and market research firm Statista surveyed more than 18,000 people across the United States who reported having an insurance policy in at least one of five categories: homeowners, renters, auto, permanent life or term life. Survey respondents were asked whether they were satisfied with their insurance company and if they would recommend it to others. Participants also rated their insurance providers on such criteria as the guidance agents offered, their customer service, cost, company transparency, digital services and claims service. Ratings in each insurance category were combined into a score, and the companies with the highest scores made our rankings.”
